I take a lot of precautions, just in case something does happen, so I have more than three space oil gas furnaces (enough to have a single in every dining room). The two of us also have a fireplace, plus I have enough of a woodpile out back to heat the loft with fire for more than one, maybe 3 weeks. I would still be more comfortable with a central Heating plus Air Conditioning inspection, though.
