I just recently moved about numerous hundred miles west of where I grew up! It is so unusual to me.
It genuinely does suppose prefer another culture.
I hope that I get used to it soon, but it feels prefer it may be awhile before I adjust, however one of the largest changes is the weather conditions. It is entirely deranged to myself and others that I am not chilly right now. It is the middle of September, & I still have not turned on my oil furnace… Growing up, both of us would turn on our oil furnace in September, and all of us waited as long as both of us could, but there were several times when chilly temperatures hit us by mid or the end of September. I can remember trying to stay hot at evening before both of us turned our oil furnace on; Some evenings in early September dropped below chilly! Now that I live here, I have not once been chilly during the evening yet. It is pretty nice. I looked at the forecast for the next various days, & it says that it will not get below forty degrees. In 1 sense, I hope that it does not , but on the other hand, I sort of hope that it does. I miss the chilly weather. I suppose I have a prefer don’t care for relationship with the cold. I have heard from some friends that they do not turn on their furnaces until mid December, just a handful of my friends still have their cooling systems out, & they use them almost every single day… They suppose that seventy degrees is hot enough to use & cooling system which does not make sense to me. I put my cooling system in storage a few weeks ago, & I do not plan to use it until next summer.
