I have never seen our children so gleeful than when I said we would be renovating the second living room into a cinema room, however it had been our project since we moved to the house but since I wanted the kids to feel like they earned it I gave them an ultimatum, they had to clean and organize their rooms, finish all their meals and help me with chores during the weekend without fail for a month.
The room was the furthest and the electric heating program that we used as our central heater did not reasonably heat the room.
I had consulted the local service provider to find out if we could have a zone control program with our electric heat pump and also if it was possible to have radiant floor heating in the soon-to-be cinema room. The heating contractor I had talked to told me that she had to make a home visit to be able to provide accurate answers, then after a day, the heating contractor came home to assess our whole-home heating system. After she was done she had both good and bad news. The bad news was that we had neglected the Heating and A/C replacement by failing to get a furnace/heater tune-up and the component had developed some problems but they would be fixed by a simple furnace oil furnace repair. This would explain why we were recently having troubles with temperature control. The good news was that it would be possible to install the underfloor heating but that meant we had to rip out the old flooring which we were planning to do from the start, however we would also need a new digital temperature control to go with the replacement.
