When I had a complication with the gas furnace, I instantly looked online for help with the problem, but I abruptly realized that the issue was absolutely the flame sensor. It is a small section of the gas furnace that is particularly crucial. I felt confident after seeing many videos that I would be able to replace the section separate from any help… However, sadly I had to order the section from an appliance store and it took 3 afternoons for the section to arrive. I did not want to go 3 afternoons separate from any heat, so I had to call the professional to make the change. They had the section in stock of course, however they would not sell just the part. The only way they would sell the section is with an replacement repair appointment. I was frustrated, but I figured it was the universe’s way of telling myself and others to call a professional. Since I knew the complication and how to solve it, they did not have to evaluate or complicate the system, so they only charged myself and others a small $99 fee for the section and the replacement repair fee. I wanted to do the task on my own, however it was a lot less hassle to have someone else repair the gas furnace.
