I will happily admit that I am a particularly frugal human being.
I truly do not enjoy spending extra money if I can ever help it.
I will go out of my way to wait for a better price to come around if something seems too expensive for me. I will also settle for less fancy options if it will save me a buck. This is why I have been sacrificing my own comfort for the sake of my bank account for several months now. I realized sometime last year that my central cooling system was not working right. I was paying extremely high energy bills every month and it never felt like my house was very evenly temperature controlled, anyways. Eventually I decided that I should probably call a professional heating, cooling, and air quality control technician to inspect the cooling system. And then… I saw the typical service fees that the HVAC repair shop was going to charge. I quickly decided that I should hold off on the professional indoor air quality control repair appointment because the cost was astronomical. Besides, I figured that my heating and cooling system would be less costly to repair after the weather changed. If I could wait until the indoor air temperature control device in question was no longer needed for the season, surely there would be some kind of heating and cooling discount available to have the air handling device replaced. That’s why I am excited for the onset of winter. Nobody should be concerned about air conditioning units when the outdoor air temperature is brutally cold, so hopefully I can have my AC system repaired for a massive discount. If not, I just wasted a lot of time.
