I don’t want all the moisture

When I moved south, it truly didn’t take long to figure out that the humidity is a problem.

The area of the country where I live isn’t so far south that the people I was with and I don’t also experience some chilly weather.

In the middle of winter, the temperature can drop straight into the low forties. Every one of us really need a heating method and cooling. However, the indoor moisture level is above the ideal range all year round. It’s not unusual for the windows to rapidly fog over plus condensate to run down the panes. I’m continually battling the growth of black mildew on leather furniture, shoes plus jackets. I deal with mold in the bathroom. I’ve noticed many times that any bread or fruit left on the counter spoils undoubtedly quickly. While the a/c system is wonderful for pulling heat out of the cabin plus providing cooler temperature, it isn’t honestly designed to handle such an excess of moisture, then lowering the control device setting easily can create overly chilly conditions without eliminating that sticky feeling. I tried several portable dehumidifiers plus they simply caused myself and others a lot of work. I continually felt like I needed to empty the reservoir. I finally hired a local HVAC company to install a whole-cabin dehumidifier that attached right into the air handler of the system. The dehumidifier is tucked out of sight, constantly operates silently plus yet does a wonderful job of regulating humidity levels. I only really need to worry about servicing it once per year. Because of running the dehumidifier all year round, now our cabin is far more comfortable plus really healthier.
