yesterday I called the Heating and Air Conditioning contractor because I wanted to have servicing done on my oil furnace.
I couldn’t suppose the answer I got when someone answered the iPhone.
She asked, ‘How can I direct your call?’ and I almost laughed out loud. I ended up chuckling and she realized what she said. She chuckled too, when she realized she was the only one there at the moment. Then she wanted to suppose what I needed and if it was an emergency. I told her I needed to have my oil furnace ran tests on but it wasn’t an emergency. She thanked me for being actually patient with the way she greeted me and she hung up. I sat there staring at the iPhone and I suddenly realized that she hadn’t set up an appointment to have my oil furnace ran tests on. I picked up the iPhone and called her back, to have the same greeting. I wondered what she did in her spare time she answered the iPhone so oddly. When I said hello, she recognized my voice. I told her I hadn’t made an appointment for oil furnace servicing. She apologized again, but this time it was for being so scatterbrained. I chuckled again, but I was a bit infuriated. I asked her if there was a Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman in the office and she told me they were all out on emergency Heating and Air Conditioning calls. . She was the only one handling the office since 7 that morning and it was already 6PM. I felt bad for her, but there wasn’t anything I could do to help her.
