Drainfield concerns

I needed to have the lawn torn up and replace all the drainage in there.

One thing I don’t mess around with is my septic system, then if there is anything wrong with that section of the house, I call a professional right out. I make sure that I don’t flush anything wrong down the drains. I never flush a tampon, tissue, or anything not meant for the toilet, however my sink only gets water, toothpaste, facewash, and mouthwash. I frequently do some plumbing service on my own. I use my own snake to make sure my drains are scrub and I even take off the toilet from time to time. I am that scared about having a block with my septic system; Well I recently went outside and smelled something foul. I instantly got on the PC because I figured my septic tank needed to be pumped; The gentlemen came over and pumped my septic tank but it wasn’t full. They still did the job and I paid them. They informed me the issue was a drainfield one. I had a leak in my drain field. I needed to have the lawn torn up and replace all the drainage in there. The plumber I hired did all the work for a adequate amount of cash, then he showed me old drainage and then his finished product, but you can tell my drainfield was designed in the 71s where materials were cheap and flimsy. Rather than flimsy pipes I have sealed PEX piping that works like a dream, even the configuration is way better. The lawn has since been fixed and there are no more foul smells. I am hopeful that is the last of my drainfield problems.
