Did you believe that radiant floors are energy efficient?

My friend Amanda just completed some renovations on his home.

She has wanted to re-do portions of his beach house since he bought it with his hubby.

She likes the home but he wanted just to tweak a few things to make the home more comfortable. Well, his hubby finally agreed to the renovation and he was so ecstatic about it. They installed new marble kitchen counters, painted the cabinets, and retiled the kitchen floors. In addition, they renovated their master bathroom. Best of all, he said his hubby surprised his by installing radiant floors inside his bathroom. She has consistently wanted radiant floors and has really mentioned it to his hubby over the years. But he wasn’t expecting him to do it. Surprisingly, radiant floors are not hard to install, nor are they as pricey as I thought they would be. There are many types of heating floors, 1 is water-based and the other is electric-based. The water-based floors can run you between $6 to $20 per square foot and the electric-based floors will be around $8 to $15 per square foot. And if you’re already renovating the bathroom, the work cost will be significantly lower. Amanda mentioned that the radiant floors are energy-efficient and can be used to split costs on his energy bill. I have never considered getting radiant floors in our house, but perhaps I will look into it, just to see if they would be beneficial to me. If somehow they would help to save me money on our energy bill, after that I am willing to consider installing them.
