I wanted to redo my home in the style of the 19th century. I saw these beautiful brass air vent covers in a museum and I swore I was going to have them over my air vents. I wouldn’t want to do without heating and air conditioning, and the smoke from fireplaces did nothing for me but make me sick. I went to the local home center and saw if they could find these air vent covers and give me a price on them. When I showed up at the home center, I found the man who worked in the area that handled air filters, air conditioning units and air vent covers, and I showed him the pictures. I followed him over to the counter where you did the ordering. He showed me different air vents covers that looked like pictures I showed him, but none were exactly what I wanted. I’m not sure if they weren’t what I wanted because they looked different or because of how outrageous the pricing was, but I opted not to purchase them. I was hoping to go to an auction or to a yard sale and find the same air vent covers I was looking for. If I don’t find them, I’ll purchase some ornate air vent covers or maybe I’ll buy some air vent covers that have the same coloring. If that isn’t possible, I’ll find some metal paint and figure out how to make the air vent covers I have look like they are 150 years old.
