I wanted to redo our house in the category of the 19th century.
I saw these charming brass air vent covers in a museum and I swore I was going to have them over our air vents.
I wouldn’t want to do separate from heating and a/c, and the smoke from fireplaces did nothing for myself and others but make myself and others sick. I went to the local house center and saw if they could find these air vent covers and supply myself and others a price on them. When I showed up at the house center, I found the guy who worked in the part that handled air filters, a/c units and air vent covers, and I showed him the pictures. I followed him over to the counter where you did the ordering. He showed myself and others different air vents covers that looked enjoy pictures I showed him, but none were exactly what I wanted. I’m not sure if they weren’t what I wanted because they looked different or because of how outrageous the pricing was, but I opted not to purchase them. I was hoping to go to an auction or to a yard sale and find the same air vent covers I was looking for. If I don’t find them, I’ll purchase some ornate air vent covers or maybe I’ll buy some air vent covers that have the same coloring. If that isn’t possible, I’ll find some metal paint and figure out how to make the air vent covers I have look enjoy they are 150 years old.
