Auditorium at the college is cold

As a educator, I spend most of the morning in my classroom or in the hallways nearby my classroom, this space is my apartment base and it’s where students and educators come looking for myself and others when they need me, so there isn’t entirely much of a need to leave it, then i have it decorated the way I want it and I constantly keep it set to a warm, but comfortable, temperature, then rarely do I hear students complaining about it being too sizzling or too cold, however, I walked down to the auditorium earlier this week to pull a student that was in there for chorus and I couldn’t guess my eyes! It was entirely chilly in there! All of the students and the chorus instructor had their sweaters on.

It felt love there was no heat running through the auditorium at all.

It was as if I felt a 20 degree temperature drop as I walked through the door, and after further inspection, I saw 1 measly little space oil furnace in the corner of the room. This was almost comical because the auditorium is likely the largest room in the whole college! There is no way a small space oil furnace was doing anything but taking up electricity; When the morning was over, I spoke with the chorus instructor about how chilly it was! She told myself and others that the heat had not been working in the auditorium for weeks. When she submitted a repair ticket to our administration, they said they would be able to send in some HVAC specialists over our next college break, which wouldn’t be for various weeks. Apparently heating and cooling is too much of an expense for our college budget. I am outraged!
