My sister is a super active young professional and constantly has big meetings and conferences to attend! Last year she attended a conference in another state, and this month she went to a conference that was in her local area.
When she was telling myself and others about it, she told myself and others about the chaos that ensued when the air conditioner stopped laboring in the conference ballroom they were originally set up in, then the CEO of the supplier had to stop her speech and ask if they could adjust the air conditioner because she was straight up dripping with sweat through her clothing.
The conference staff took steps right away to adjust the thermostat, but the room still wasn’t cooling down. They considered pausing the conference to allow the repair staff to repair the air conditioner, but other options included resting in a hot conference room or switching locations to another ballroom with a laboring air conditioner. They decided that it would take less time to switch almost everyone to another ballroom because they weren’t exactly sure what the issue was with the HVAC system, then i was truly shocked to hear that only a single ballroom was impacted because regularly commercial air conditioners are all linked, but I’m thinking that they might have a commercial version of a multi chop air conditioner that keeps them separate and customizable, but regardless, it was a huge process to get hundreds of people swapped to another room in the middle of the conference, but they made it happen, then after that, the rest of the conference ran smoothly and she had a great time!
