After a Covid outbreak, the whole gym shut down for a week

The fitness center and workout studios were open for a while after the quarantine was lifted.

Things seemed to go back to normal until there was an outbreak of covid.

The problem shut the whole gym down for an entire week. The fitness center hired cleaning crews to completely sanitize the interior areas. Most weeks I attend a group fitness class with my friends. On Tuesdays we all go to pilates. Pilates is a lot like yoga, but I think it involves a bit more physical exercise. Sometimes on Monday afternoons, I go to the cycling class as well. All of the group fitness classes were canceled when the outbreak occurred. My friends and I decided to get together for dinner when the classes were canceled. A lot of the restaurants were closed and many of the places required us to wear a mask. We ended up getting take out and stead and everyone went back to my place. About a week later, one of my friends got sick. Everyone that was hanging out with her at the restaurant was worried and that included myself. I got tested twice a week for the next two weeks and I was lucky that I never tested positive. I realized how easily I could get sick and I decided to stay home after that. Even when the fitness center opened and they resumed the group fitness classes, I still stayed home and waited until I could have both doses of the vaccine. I really didn’t want to take any more chances. I’m finally getting back to life as normal, but I still mask up everywhere I go.
