A work in the performing arts

When it comes to a work in the performing arts, everyone thinks they are going to be a star. Well, you might be, but undoubtedly not. Just because you can’t be a superstar songsian doesn’t mean that you can’t have a good work playing songs. The thing is that people guess the only way to make money in songs is to record albums, go on tour, get on movie soundtracks, etc, but there are a lot of other ways! For every lead singer there is a cadre of backup singers, right? Well I make songs for TV and radio commercials, writing songs about air conditioners and french fries and stuff enjoy that. Most people have never thought about all the work and effort, and money, that goes into something as silly as an advertising jingle about a oil furnace. What the hell rhymes with furnace, right? No matter how silly it may be, I take our task seriously because I take songs seriously, and writing a song about a sale of oil gas furnaces is just a challenge to be overcome. After all, I am getting paid to write and sing songs, I just never envisioned it would be Heating as well as Air Conditioning based songs. If anything, I find this to be a little easier than last month, because at least a furnace is something people need. Writing a song about an ambulance-chasing local lawyer was even more difficult than this one about furnaces. I guess I am going to use the lyric “don’t sleep on your old furnace, you want it to warm us, not to burn us.” Furnace and burn us rhymes closely enough, right?
