Last weekend, my family and I decided that we were gonna go camping one last time before the weather starts cooling off too much. We like to camp at the beginning of fall, but sometimes the weather gets too cold for us even then. Anyway, we decided to go ahead and go out to try to enjoy the nice weather last weekend and we thought that we would be able to have a nice family trip together with all of our kids. We went ahead and picked up the camper and drove up to the campsite, and everything was fine for the first day. The weather was nice and the temperature was about 60, so it wasn’t too bad. Then throughout the afternoon, the temperature started cooling down, and we started to think that we might have trouble overnight with the cold. However, we were happy because we had a good thermostat system inside of the camper and the furnace in it seemed to be working just fine. We were fishing around dusk and then once we brought the kayaks back into shore, we noticed that the electricity had gone out at the whole campsite. At first, we thought that it was just our campsite that was having trouble with the electricity, but then we noticed that it was the whole entire campground! That means that nobody there had a furnace and everybody got really cold overnight. A few people had a generator, and that’s how we ended up staying warm. I guess we won’t be camping anymore for this year!
