They really screwed me

I recently bought a house right near my parents that needs a little love.

I paid way too much for it, but I paid for the giant plot of land and proximity to my parents.

I already resigned myself to updating the kitchen, fixing the floors and repainting everything. The snag is that the sellers pushed to have an as is contract. I didn’t know any better so I agreed to it. There are a lot of things wrong with the home I am quickly finding out. First, the sellers told me I could keep the washer and dryer. Apparently they lied and took them both out and didn’t put it in the contact. So I am out of luck there. Another issue is that there is a woodstove in the living room that adds supplemental heating. The seller told me he heats his house all winter with it. Now that I own the woodstove, I see it is busted and more of a decorative piece. The real kicker is the home’s main HVAC system. The central HVAC system is 17 years old. I specifically asked the guy if his AC keeps the house cold. He told me yes, of course it does. The air conditioning doesn’t work at all. The heating function is barely operational. I just bought a brand new house and now I need to put HVAC installation on my bill. I also need to remove a woodstove and call a roofing company to repair the hole. I then have to purchase a washer and dryer. Sadly all of these things can’t wait either. I am going to bankrupt myself trying to handle all these bills.
