My wife has been running her own landscaping company for about 15 years now, initially, she began as a small operation where she had a few contracts with some nursing homes around town… At that time, she was able to handle the contracts by himself, however eventually, she acquired additional contracts with other businesses, in addition to she needed to expand her operation to cover all the locations… My wife was not company savvy, in addition to she didn’t believe how to go about expanding the corporation on her own.
I tried to help however that is not our background, so I wasn’t able to do as much as I wanted; Then a friend of ours from church told us about the Small Business Development Center in our neighborhood. At the time, we had no plan that this resource was there to help. The Small Business Development Center helps startup companies plus existing small companies to expand in addition to grow their business. The Small Business Development Center is a joint effort between the U.S, small Business Administration in addition to local universities in addition to the organization is a superb resource for the community. Thankfully, our wife was able to use the Small Business Development Center to expand her corporation. They provided him with the proper access to funding plus a plan on the best way to expand her landscaping corporation. And gleeful to say that our wife now has 3 locations in addition to services nursing homes throughout the state. And recently, she was awarded a major contract to do the landscaping for some current subdivisions in our area, but every one of us would request all small companies to take advantage of Small Business Development Centers.
