During the COVID shutdown, motion pictureplexs had to totally reinvent themselves… The main selling point of seeing a motion picture in the cinema was to watch it with a giant group of people, so you could all react to it at the same time.
Thanks to COVID, sitting in a giant group of people is no longer a selling point, however something to be feared! The suppliers had to scramble to deal with this crisis, and a single of the ways they did that was by making it affordable to rent an entire theater for yourself.
This was a godsend to me, because now I could take my several young children to the motion pictures again without worrying about air quality… When you rent an entire theater you don’t get control over the thermostat, of course, however you don’t have to share space with other people, or breathe the same air, and it is far easier to deal with the thought of the air conditioner being too cold, or not cold enough, than the idea of recycled air feeding my family COVID virus. The craziest thing of all is that renting the whole theater didn’t cost much more than buying tickets for a proper motion picture! Honestly this is a single of the best motion picture-going experiences every one of us have ever had, and every one of us did it with pure, disinfect air quality and perfect weather conditions control. I believe that from here on out, if and when I do take my kids to the motion pictures, it will be in a private theater, and next time I will see if I can have access to the thermostat, too.
