Fireplaces today are a lot different than the fireplaces of when I was growing up.
When you used to think about fireplaces you think about the authentic real fireplaces that are in your home.
And then today when you think about fireplaces, you are thinking about an electric fireplace or a gas fireplace. Most of the time it is electric fireplaces. Because today electric fireplace are what most people have when it comes to fireplaces in their home. Regular fireplaces are nearly a thing of the past for many reasons. The main one being most new homes do not come with fireplaces built in. Second off it is because if someone wants a fireplace they are going to go for an electric fireplace most of the time because it is affordable. Getting an authentic fireplace put in is something that only a rich person could afford these days. And let us face it, there are not too many rich folks that do not already have a real and authentic fireplace in their home. Or if it is a young rich person, most of the time they are not even interested in fireplaces to begin with. How times of changed! I am just happy that I happen to have a real authentic old school fireplace in my home because I bought an older home that had one in it and I was willing to pay extra to keep it there and not have it demolished when I bought the house. It was a good thing.
