My friend and I were on our way home from a concert.
We had taken my car, because I have a seat.
It was going to be a 3-hour drive to the concert and we didn’t want to ride around without ac. Even though my friend’s car gets better gas mileage, we weren’t going to make the drive without cool air. The rock and roll concert was a huge dud. The band didn’t sound at all like they do on the radio and that is a good sign that they aren’t very good artists or musicians. We were going to leave the concert early, but I wanted to see if the band would play our favorite song for an encore. They did play that song, so I was glad that we stayed. It took 2 hours to get out of the parking lot because there were so many cars trying to leave at the same time. After we were on the highway, it was smooth sailing for an hour and a half. We were about 30 miles away from home when my car started sputtering. I honestly didn’t think we were going to make it all the way back to our apartment. I was worried that we would end up on the side of the road. I didn’t want us to be in a bad situation if the car died, so I pulled over when I saw a rest stop and I told my friend that we were going to have to call someone for help. It was better to pull over at the rest stop where there was a lot of lighting so we could wait for someone to help.
