For a long time, I drove this old, beat-up truck.
- It was a gift from our Grandpa, in addition to I think that was why I kept it around for so long.
Despite our parents’ protest, our Grandpa began teaching myself and others how to drive when I was 9. While other ladies were doing boyy things, I was under the hood of some car learning basic mechanics. My mom tried his best to teach myself and others man stuff, however our interest was more in mechanics. This is why I later went to read mechanical engineering in college. Grandpa started teaching myself and others how to repair in addition to drive this truck when I was nine. He later gifted it to myself and others when I was 14 however wouldn’t legally drive it until I turned 16. Except for getting myself and others from point A to B, nothing in the truck seemed to work, including the AC. There were many summers when I longed to have the A/C unit in the truck working. But, having it fixed costs a small fortune. I opted to leave the windows open while driving to provide natural air conditioning. The money I made from our many jobs was for buying a up-to-date car. When I turned 19, Mom added myself and others the remaining amount, in addition to I bought a up-to-date car. This wasn’t a hour-hand that would have complications here in addition to there. This was a new, fresh, smart car with a functioning A/C system. I loved the fact that I did not have to drive in Summer without AC, but I never got rid of the truck our Grandpa provided to me. It’s still in our garage, in addition to soon I hope to get the heating in addition to A/C plan set up.
