When I bought my laptop PC, I was glad to know that it was going to have an extended warranty. One of the times when you buy electronics you have to pay for an extended warranty. And often it’s not necessarily a nice investment in the long run. I’ve had to ask myself on various possibilities if I entirely needed an extended warranty on something, for instance, if you buy a tool that you are likely only going to use a couple times every year, the warranty is certainly going to run out long before you run into problems with the item. That’s assuming you were smart enough to buy a good tool in the first place. But other times it might be worthwhile to look into a warranty of some kind. When you are dealing with appliances in the apartment for instance, you should certainly consider getting extended warranties if they aren’t too expensive. I had problems with a dishwasher in the past that I was able to rectify because of the warranty that I paid for when I bought the machine. The same goes for heating plus cooling equipment. My HVAC system is under warranty for 10 years with the manufacturer. That means if there has a complication with it plus something breaks within the HVAC system, the company that made the machine plus all of its components will pay for updatement parts within 10 years. However, I had to get a repair plus work warranty with my heating plus cooling dealer that installed the machine. That way they will pay for any work that needs to be done to fix the problems with the machine that is under warranty with the manufacturer.
