Unlike numerous of my friends, I had no desire to attend university. My grades in university were Bs plus Cs most of the time, plus I easily hated reading. The only thing that gave myself and others pride in life was working with my hands. My father had a big workshop in our home while I was growing up plus he taught myself and others how to use numerous of his tools even while I was a child. Instead of building little wooden dove houses with hand saws plus glue, he taught myself and others safety lessons with power drills plus electric circular saws. The first major piece of furniture I ever built was a bookshelf for my family room. I had such a strong feeling of pride plus self-reliance that I kept up with the activity over the years. By the time I was in my sophomore year of high university, I already knew that I didn’t want to attend university. I regularly wanted to work with my hands as a job. Our university had a program with the local trade university plus I became an apprentice carpenter in my junior year. By the time I finished high university, I had a fulltime job plus a work truck. I’ve been working for the same corporation for numerous years now, plus I adore most aspects of my work. I just wish that my corporation truck had working a/c. The first truck I was assigned had wonderful heating plus cooling. I never considered what it would be like driving around in late June in a heavy uniform with no a/c. I get tired by working outdoors plus can’t even cool off when I get to my truck. I hope my boss fixes the air conditioner at least, because I can live without heat.
