Every year our town hosts a Wintertide festival that brings in tons of tourists. Every major company wants to participate in the vent, but it is a enjoyable money maker and good for getting your name out there. The stores that sell clothing, jewelry, hats and shoes have it simple. They just get a folding table and rent a space. They flop their merchandise on the table and take payment via square! Well a restaurant owner savor myself is a bit stuck. I specialize in smoothies and paninis. I need to have electricity, water and plenty of room for food prep. I need at least a grill top, splitting section and a sink. I looked into buying a food truck just for the event however it was too costly, for years I just couldn’t participate in the event. I then talked to another restaurant owner that does it every year. I found out what all the food contractors are using. They contact a progalbe facility contractor and get a shipping tote for the week. They can design a modular living room all online and have it shipped ready to use at the event. When they are done, the contractor picks it back up. It is that simple, yes a portion of the profits goes to paying for the facility, however it is more than worth it. I have already designed our space and I am ready for the Wintertide festival. I am going to participate this year! I will have plenty of space to do all our meal prep and have a worker in there with me too.
