I am pretty hot in my bedroom at night here at my dad’s house so I am looking for ways to cool the room down.
I saw a dehumidifier in the basement so maybe I’ll give that a shot and see if it helps me sleep better.
My next step would be to buy a small window air conditioning unit for the bedroom if this extra fan I bought doesn’t do the trick. That would make four ways I have of cooling down my room; AC vent, ceiling fan, small desk fan, and a dehumidifier. My mom doesn’t like to keep the house very cold at night like I do so it is making it really tough to sleep at night as I am a hot sleeper. If I can’t sleep still then I am just going to buy one of those mini split air conditioners at the store and then just sell it to someone in need. I really don’t care at this point, I just want to get a good night of sleep so I can function the next day. Maybe I could sneak down in the middle of the night and turn the smart thermostat down, but I am afraid I am going to freeze everyone out and cause a bunch of hassle with them. My brother is here now and he also likes it warm in the room at night when he sleeps. I don’t know how they do it! I like to have my programmable thermostat set to 68F each night when I go to sleep.
