I have lived in the south for about thirty years now.
I grew up in the northeast so I know how winters can be.
However living in the south is good because you hardly ever experience snow or frosty weather. I haven’t seen snow in about ten years. Ten years ago my buddy and I got a light dusting but that only lasted for an hour plus it didn’t even accumulate to an inch… When I was growing up in the northeast I remember playing in the snow with all of my siblings… My friend and I would have such a blast. I miss growing up in the northeast but once I got older I couldn’t sit the frosty weather so I applied to school’s down south. I’ve stayed there ever since then. It’s bizarre because this winter season down south, it has been much colder than normal. At this time last year I was out on the beach; Just this past week I turned the air conditioning on. My friend and I have gone a few weeks without air conditioning. Whereas last year my air conditioning was on at least every night because my hubby plus I like to go to sleep when it’s somewhat cool. Since I haven’t used my air conditioning as much I called my Heating, Ventilation and A/C company for him to check it out before the warmer weather approaches. I’ve always been told that any heat or air conditioning that hasn’t been used for a long time should be diagnosed before it’s fully turned on plus functioning.
