Living in the south and the winter time is much colder this year

I have lived in the south for about thirty years now.

I grew up in the northeast so I know how winters can be.

However living in the south is great because you hardly ever experience snow or cold weather. I haven’t seen snow in about ten years. Ten years ago we got a light dusting but that only lasted for an hour and it didn’t even accumulate to an inch, then when I was growing up in the northeast I remember playing in the snow with all of my siblings, my pal and I would have such a blast. I miss growing up in the northeast but once I got older I couldn’t stand the cold weather so I applied to university’s down south. I’ve stayed there ever since then. It’s unusual because this winter time down south, it has been much colder than normal. At this time last year I was out on the beach! Just this past week I turned the air conditioning on. My pal and I have gone a few weeks without air conditioning. Whereas last year my air conditioning was on at least every night because my spouse and I like to go to sleep when it’s somewhat cool. Since I haven’t used my a/c as much I called my Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker for him to check it out before the warmer weather approaches. I’ve always been told that any heat or air conditioning that hasn’t been used for a long time should be worked on before it’s fully turned on and functioning.
