Living in the south and the winter is much colder this year

I have lived in the south for about thirty years now.

I grew up in the northeast so I know how winters can be. However living in the south is fantastic because you hardly ever experience snow or frigid weather. I haven’t seen snow in about ten years. Ten years ago my pal and I got a light dusting however that only lasted for an hour and it didn’t even accumulate to an inch, then when I was growing up in the northeast I remember playing in the snow with all of my siblings, but my friend and I would have such a blast. I miss growing up in the northeast however once I got older I couldn’t sit the frigid weather so I applied to university’s down south. I’ve stayed there ever since then. It’s odd because this winter down south, it has been much colder than normal. At this time last year I was out on the beach! Just this past week I turned the air conditioning on. My friend and I have gone a few weeks separate from air conditioning. Whereas last year my air conditioning was on at least every evening because my partner and I like to go to sleep when it’s somewhat cool. Since I haven’t used my air conditioner as much I called my Heating, Ventilation plus A/C worker for him to check it out before the warmer weather approaches. I’ve consistently been told that any heat or air conditioning that hasn’t been used for a long time should be evaluated before it’s fully turned on and functioning.
