I had a pretty close call with my window A/C.
You see in the section I live the houses are mostly not equipped to have central heating as well as A/C.
So both of us are all still doing things the seasoned way; Which really, it is better in terms of money savings. By not having to run central A/C the electric bills of various here are much better than those in other areas who have central A/C. But anyway, the window A/C plan of mine almost broke this past year by my own doing! Those things can be quite heavy. And because of this it sometimes makes it hard to get it up as well as down the stairs. I do not leave the window A/C plan in all year round. But what happened was while I was bringing the window A/C plan up to my kitchen to put it in, I nearly tripped on the carpet as well as dropped the window A/C! Had I done that, it would have not only been a mess, but a possible fire had the window A/C plan exploded. When those things split if dropped on the ground, they easily well could blow up. I saw it happen once before with someone. But it was outdoors so the only thing that was injured was the window A/C plan itself when it blew up into a million pieces. I absolutely hope that never happens to me. Though it came pretty close when I nearly tripped on the carpet! I need to have that carpet nailed down better.
