I needed current ductwork.

The HVAC specialist came to the apartment yesterday to inspect our oil furnace, and unlike the people who lived in the Northeast & needed their oil furnace in September, I didn’t need mine until September or December, when the HVAC specialist arrived to do our inspection, he checked the ductwork at the same time.

I wasn’t prepared when he told myself and others the ductwork needed to be replaced.

I didn’t think how much it was going to cost, however I was fairly particular it was going to be fancy. I sat down with the HVAC specialist & asked him how much it was going to cost? He said I had a couple of options. He could install ductwork like the tin ductwork I already had installed or they could go with a flexpipe, but flexpipe would last longer & every one of us would not need to worry about it rusting. Flexpipe wasn’t as sturdy & it would need to be checked correctly to make sure there was stress on it, however it was much cheaper than regular ductwork. He said he would send the HVAC supplier to the house, & I could talk to him. It took a couple of days for the HVAC supplier to arrive, however it wasn’t chilly outside. The people I was with and I had plenty of time to get the current ductwork installed before Wintertide arrived in our area. When the HVAC supplier arrived, every one of us went over our options again. After going through our HVAC system again, he said he thought flexpipe ductwork would be a fine choice for me, & wrote up an estimate, & told myself and others I could get one-year the same as money credit on the ductwork & the replacement..
