I hope my friend feels better, I feel cold

Sadly, a dear associate of mine was admitted to the ICU a few weeks ago, subsequent to taking too much medication.

She ended up dramatically overdosing and had to be taken in our ambulance.

She currently has no immediate family so I am listed as her emergency contact in the city. When I got the call I was really scared for her safety and drove as fast as I could to see how she was. They seriously told me that she was still unconscious and that I absolutely would have to wait in the outer room until they had any answers. I left right from work and I was only wearing a skirt and super light top which was horrible because the room was Beyond frigid cold. Even the medical staff were wearing heavy jackets or light sweaters. I asked why the temperature was feeling so low and they said that all of the equipment generated so much additional heat that they needed to keep the temperature down. They politely said that the air conditioning even ran during the Wintertime most days in their space of the hospital. They commanded that I remember to dress more warmly if I was going to be going to regularly see our associate in the coming afternoons. They even said that if I was still cold I should bring a light blanket with me. I sat there for several hours, beyond frigid, and waiting for news on our friends condition. It’s going to be a cold couple of days. I wish I knew why or how she ended up in this position, I hope she feels better soon.
