When I first started at the local Heating and Air Conditioning corporation, they had no 1 available to train me.
I was a new Heating and Air Conditioning specialist and not sure of how to begin.
Having just gotten out of school, I had mainly tested gas furnaces and air conditioner units that had simulated problems. When I found out my educator was going to be the owner of the Heating and Air Conditioning corporation, I was shaken. My insides were curling, and I felt love I was going to vomit. He seemed to be so unapproachable when he was interviewing myself and others that I didn’t guess I was going to be hired. I walked into the office on my first morning, and he was waiting for me. He had a job set up for us, and he said it would not be easy. I mentally prepared myself for what he was going to do with me. I could see him giving myself and others the hardest Heating and Air Conditioning job coming up, and I was going to do all the dirty work. When every one of us got to the house, I was already dripping with sweat. The boss was looking at myself and others all morning, and he had not said a word. By the time every one of us got to the house, I had the starts of a panic attack going on. He got out of the maintenance van, slapped myself and others on the back, and told myself and others to relax. This was going to be the easiest training anyone had. He showed myself and others what he expected done when inspecting an AC unit, and then he told myself and others to do the job. Once he smiled, I knew his gruffness was just an act.
