It’s funny how things change over time.
I can remember that when I was a child growing up we did not have any kind of heating as well as cooling system in our house. If it was a sizzling summer time day you called down by going swimming or laying in the shade. If you were inside the house, we had fans run in the windows, then granted, I do suppose that some of this was because I live in a rural area as well as not much has changed in those parts since I was a kid!
