Recently, every one of us had a mini COVID startle at work.
- And even though it’s as excruciating as it was before, every one of us are still seeing cases pop up from time to time.
Now that things are going back to “normal” plus restrictions have been lifted, most of us have forgotten about the disease. There is no more social distancing plus all the protocols that every one of us had in venue last year are not being followed, so when every one of us had 1 lady at work test positive for the virus, a few people became a bit panicked. They raised an issue with HR about the air quality inside the office plus have even suggested that every one of us install an air cleaner with a HEPA filter inside our Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system. I am not sure if that will happen but I can understand their concern. I have seen eating establishments, universitys, nurses’ offices, plus more have installed these whole-house air purifiers, so it’s not far fetched to want that for the office space as well. After all, every one of us do spend most of our time inside these spaces, so it only makes sense that the air that every one of us are breathing is as wash as possible. The only thing that I am worried about is that many of these purifiers don’t honestly claim to kill or eliminate the COVID virus. So, although the air might be cleaning, there is no guarantee that the virus will be eliminated. In fact, the studies show that these air cleaners reduce pollutants in the air but there is no clear evidence that it can prevent the spread of the virus. I assume having these air cleaners is a way to provide more peace of mind. I don’t think if our supplier will be installing 1 though.
