Did you believe that cooking on a grill can help to save money on your energy bill?

I had our HVAC unit serviced and me and the serviceman began to discuss the rising price of everything these days.

He stated that he is spending double on gas than what he was spending last year around the same time.

Fortunately, for me, I am not driving as much so I am not filling our tank as frequently as others are. However, what I have noticed was an increase in our energy bill. And while talking with the serviceman, I asked him about energy saving tips. He offered me a few which included cooking outside, keeping blinds closed in the Summer time, installing ceiling fans, and changing the temperature on the control unit. These were all relaxing tips and most of them can be immediately implemented. The only thing that I can’t do is to cook outside because I don’t own a grill. I have never thought that owning a grill could potentially save money on our energy bill but it makes sense because using an oven does create extra heat inside the home, which in turn would cause the air conditioning to work harder to cool down the house, while you prepare your meal. I am not sure why I have never bought a grill, it’s just not something that I ever wanted. To be honest, I think I am a little intimidated by the open flames on a grill, so I have avoided getting 1. But now that I believe that it could help to save money on our energy bill, it is something I will now consider getting.
