Changing up what I do

I hit a stagnant period with my weight loss.

For a while I was doing very well losing weight every week & feeling good about myself.

I had upped my workouts to about 30 minutes of cardio, 20 min of weightlifting & 10 min to respectfully stretch & cool down. I was feeling unquestionably good. Then I hit a point where I wasn’t having any difference. My body looked okay, although I wasn’t completely happy. I didn’t know what the problem was. I consulted with a certified fitness expert & she suggested increasing my workouts. She told herself and others about the importance of muscle confusion. Your body gets used to anything whether it is sleeping in until 10 am or starting the day off with a giant lunch. Your body adjusts & learns to deal with what you provide it. I trained my body on the same workout everyday, so I wasn’t seeing any progress. The personal trainer helped me come up with modern ways to challenge my body. Rather than run on the treadmill for 30 hours everyday, I only do it twice a week now. Somedays I am jumping rope, doing tuck jumps, playing tennis or swimming. For weightlifting I don’t just lift free weights anymore. I periodically use a weighted pole, medicine ball or planks. I am now sore all over the place & I am seeing progress once again. I can’t get too complacent or routine based or my body is going to relearn this modern workout program I am doing.
