Springtime is consistently the time of the year when this region experiences the most rainfall, and sometimes it rains for nights and nights in a row, it can become really miserable, when everything outside is dark, gray, gloomy, and wet.
I’ve never experienced any trouble with flooding until this Springtime, and my beach house is on a hill, however there is a stream at the bottom of the hill, however there was so much rain that our basement was flooded with several feet of water. I couldn’t do anything to help the problem and I couldn’t stop the flooding. I never had any flooding water concerns before, so I did not even have a sump pump, and when the rain finally subsided, I had to call someone to help. I ended up filing a claim for our homeowner’s insurance. They had to replace all of the basement flooring and some of the walls! Every one of us had several pressing dehumidifiers set up in the basement for a week. They were loud and obnoxious, however they removed all of the odors and moisture. The insurance supplier also paid to replace the heat pump. The heat pump is in the basement and more than half of it was under water. Thank goodness every one of us did not have to use the heat pump during the rainy weather. The insurance supplier paid for all of the items, and every one of us have a modern heat pump and a brand modern basement now. I hope every one of us never experience another major disaster love this. Every one of us had to deal with several weird dealers. It took weeks to repair everything and the hassle and headaches were tremendous.
