I remember this one time when I was a youngster, I had a rather messed up sleepover at my buddy’s house.
I thought everything would be great.
We would play some video games and then watch some TV and then go to sleep with the A/C system cranked up. Well, most of those things we were able to do and things weren’t so bad until the A/C system actually broke down. Because it was late at night, my buddy’s father said that he couldn’t get a hold of the HVAC company until the morning to have the A/C fixed. He provided us with a stationary fan to try to keep cool. We had to keep it on oscillating mode so that we could both get a part of the breeze. It would have been better having the fan blowing directly on you, but it wasn’t like there were two extra fans we could use. Just as I thought things couldn’t get any worse, that’s when the power decided to go out. So there we were with no lights, no fan, no cooling system, no anything! My buddy started talking to me and he apologized for what was going on. I said it was okay because I couldn’t sleep anyway. We ended up opening the window and at least we were able to get a cool breeze from outside. That helped a lot. We just kept talking until we fell asleep. I guess things could have been worse, but I sure wished that A/C would have been still working.
