The rain won't stop coming down and everything is flooded

I have been watching the weather every afternoon, and the rain is supposed to be over in two days

All of the creeks, tributaries, and rivers are flooded. Trees are falling in the road and the highways are filled with traffic accidents. It has been raining for a week nonstop. The elementary school is flooded, and the kids have not been to school in three days. It’s getting harder and harder to leave the house and go anywhere. Most of the roads are covered in water and some of them have tree damage and debris. Two bridges are closed in the area, because the water ios moving so rapidly. I wake up every morning hoping that the rain will be over, but that is not the case. My backyard is in a low-lying area, and I am starting to get worried about my HVAC unit. The water is only about a foot away from the HVAC unit. Even though the HVAC unit constantly gets battered by rain, I don’t think being underwater is good for the system. I had my boyfriend go to the fire station to get some sandbags. I don’t know if that will keep the water from entering the HVAC unit, but I feel like we are out of good options. I am patiently watching the water levels in my yard, and I am prepared for an emergency. I have been watching the weather every afternoon, and the rain is supposed to be over in two days. After that, I hope we see a week or two of dry weather. It’s going to take several weeks for all of the water to recede and things to return to normal.
