Back when I was in college I had a really irritating roommate that I had to deal with.
This roommate of mine was always messing with the thermostat of the central heating and air conditioning system.
They were never agreeing with what the indoor temperatures should be. When it was hot out, he wanted it too warm. When it was cold out, he wanted it too cold. I finally had got sick of fighting over this and I ended up going out and buying a portable space heater and a portable air conditioning system for my section of the house. That way when he had the central heating and air conditioning system at the temperature he wanted, I would be able to combat it in my area of the house using the portable air conditioning system and the portable space heater. It was quite the battle for a while. But once I got the portable air conditioning system and the portable space heater I just stopped fighting because I did not have the energy or the patience to do so anymore. I just wanted to pass college, get my degree and get the hell out of there and away from this moron. I really could not stand the dude. He was sort of a geek too, which was not my style. When that day came that I graduated from college I moved out within a week and the house was all his! I never did know what became of him. But do I really care? Not really!
