The salt life isn’t easy

My husband and I do the snowbird thing. The people I was with and I have a little beach shack down south that is just ideal for the two of us. I like our little family room, stone floor den and rustic looking powder room. I don’t worry about having a totally clean house, perfect gardens or it looking totally fresh anymore. The beach shack is where both of us go to relax. However, since both of us live near the beach, there is a lot of damage. The salty air absolutely likes to rust things. The metal garage door is basically a big red and brown mess. The switch plates, fan blades and all other metal inside the new home is wrecked too. The worst is the cooling system system. It is always filled with mold, mildew and rust. I have tried cleaning it, bleaching the inside and mucking out the condensate drain. It always looks icky, leaks water and is not easily efficient. I have been looking around online because I want to buy a new ac system. However, I don’t want to buy a unit that will rust in the next few months. I want to have something that can handle the salty air quality. There must be something ath is meant for beach life. There must be additional units that can limit the musty, salty air from leaking into the beach shack correct? I have been asking around because I recognize I need to find a local Heating and A/C corporation that can handle the work. They will have seen our issues before for sure. I want a hearty, new A/C device.
