Staying cool for cheaper

If you live in an area that has a lot of heat in the summer and are sick and tired of paying high electric bills, I have the solution for you! Running central air conditioning can be really taxing on your bank account when it is super hot and it has to run almost twenty four hours per day and seven days a week.

There is a way around this I found recently by reading some energy saving tips on a website online.

These energy saving tips suggested to spend 3 to 4 hundred bucks and buy a portable air conditioning system. A portable air conditioning system can be pretty powerful against even the most extreme heat if your home is insulated right. The energy saving tip that I read said that you can run the portable air conditioning system along with the central HVAC unit. Not at the same time of course as that would defeat the entire purpose of energy savings. What you do is run the portable air conditioning system in the room you are going to be in most during the day when it is really hot. You can take it with you from room to room if needed, that is why it is called a portable air conditioning system! You don’t turn on the thermostat of the central HVAC unit during this time. Then, at night when the sun goes down, you turn off the portable air conditioning system and turn your central heating and air conditioning system back on to the air conditioning! I have been doing this method now for 3 months and the energy savings is amazing!
