My fiance and I got engaged over a year ago. Our plan was to elope to a foreign destination. We were going to get pictures taken in exotic landscapes and see the country. Instead COVID happened and derailed those plans. We tried waiting but it had been over a year and the two of us were sick of sitting around. Our destination wedding had to take place within the US. At first the two of us were super bummed. How were we going to capture the magic in a local area? You can’t really make a destination a few hours away seem exotic. Instead, the two of us are opting for a very different experience. We are going to get married after doing a long hike. There are legal weed shops in the destination we are at too. Another thing is that there is a body massage salon right near our hotel. They offer sugar wax, eyebrow threading and all sorts of massages. The two of us are going to make a day out of it. Since it is early in the trip, I am going to get waxed. I like the idea of not needing to bring a razor and worry about stubble. I plan to get my legs, lady area, and armpits done with either sugaring or waxing. I then want to get my eyebrows threaded. My fiance is totally cool just laying down on a table and getting a deep tissue massage. He thinks it could be a really fun time for us both. I agree. The wedding won’t be what we thought, but it might turn out better.
