Need to get an air purifier for allergies

I have been looking into air purifiers because I have terrible allergies.

I am constantly sneezing, sniffling and carrying tissues around with me. If I am not stuffed up, I have a runny nose. There is not much I can do about the outdoor air and what is in it. I can make my indoor air quality fresh and better for my nasal passages. To start with, I did purchase HEPA filters for my HVAC equipment. These special filters catch way more dust from going into the system. I then get regular ductwork cleaning rather than wait seven years like most people. My hair, my cat’s fur and dirt gets in the ductwork and is hard on my nose. The air purifier is the last step to making my indoor air conditions fresh. I found that the little stationary ones are not as good. They can only clean a whole room and they need to be plugged in. They look really ugly, are not powerful and are a huge energy waste. My other option is an air purification system that installs into my return or supply ductwork. This machine would require annual maintenance and filter changes though. It would be expensive upfront and overtime. I think I might need to do it though. My nose bleeds I blow it so much. I think I would pay quite a bit to have clear sinuses and not need to carry a box of tissues around with me. It would only be a once a year thing that the HVAC professional could do while he tuned up my HVAC equipment.
