I have never felt like I was being pressured to do something regarding my HVAC system that wasn’t absolutely necessary from both a short term and long term perspective.
I haven’t always had the best luck with tradespeople coming in and out my house. When I had a serious plumbing problem, it took four different plumbers to finally discover the real problem and come up with a solution. Every other plumber just made up random issues like replumbing the backs of my toilets instead of just admitting they couldn’t figure out exactly why there were sewer gasses in my house. This has admittedly made me extremely hesitant and skeptical towards any additional plumbers that enter my front door; sometimes I wonder if I have a target painted on my back that only plumbers can see. I just want people to be straight with me instead of trying to take me for a ride and rip me off for my money. However, my mindset towards hardworking tradespeople softened a lot when I found my current heating and cooling supplier. Aside from the stellar reviews they had on the internet, the technician that they always send out to my house is extremely kind and professional. Not only that, but my HVAC technician also wears a mask in my house automatically without me having to ask him. It’s a courteous gesture being I’m immune compromised and I’m trying to avoid getting the virus. Once the HVAC technician is finally done, he always gives me a print out of all the work that was done and summaries of anything that needs to be addressed in the future.
