Since the age of the internet, it is a lot easier to repair things at home, then there are helpful websites plus instructional videos to help a homeowner complete nearly every task. When I had a problem with the gas furnace, I right away looked online for help with the problem. I suddenly realized that the issue was entirely the flame sensor. It is a small section of the gas furnace that is genuinely pressing. I felt confident after enjoying several videos that I would be able to replace the section without any help; but unluckily, I had to order the section from an appliance store plus it took several afternoons for the section to arrive. I did not want to go several afternoons without any heat, so I had to call the professional to make the change. They had the section in stock of course, however they would not sell just the part. The only way they would sell the section is with an replacement service appointment. I was angry, but I figured it was the universe’s way of telling myself and others to call a professional. Since I knew the problem plus how to solve it, they did not have to evaluate or issue the system, so they only charged myself and others a small $99 fee for the section plus the replacement service fee. I wanted to do the work on my own, however it was a lot less hassle to have someone else repair the gas furnace.
