I should have called an HVAC tech to fix my furnace

They had the area in stock of course, but they would not sell just the part.

I do not have a lot of currency plus I do not acquire a lot of currency; when something breaks, I try to repair it before I call a professional. Since the age of the internet, it is a lot easier to repair things at home, but there are helpful websites plus instructional videos to help a homeowner complete nearly every work. When I had a problem with the oil furnace, I immediately looked online for help with the problem; I suddenly realized that the issue was entirely the flame sensor specifically. It is a small area of the oil furnace that is easily important. I felt confident after seeing numerous videos that I would be able to replace the area without any help at all… Unfortunately, I had to order the area from an appliance store plus it took numerous afternoons for the area to arrive. I did not want to go numerous afternoons without any heat, so I had to call the professional to make the change. They had the area in stock of course, but they would not sell just the part. The only way they would sell the area is with an upgrade service appointment. I was frustrated, although I figured it was the universe’s way of telling myself and others to call a professional. Since I knew the problem plus how to solve it, they did not have to evaluate or troubleshoot the system, so they only charged myself and others a small $99 fee for the area plus the upgrade service fee on top. I wanted to do the job on our own, but it was a lot less hassle to have someone else repair the oil furnace.
