At least I get paid extra money whenever I have to answer any calls from the Heating & A/C emergency line
I enjoy working as a Heating & A/C specialist. I enjoy all our coworkers & most of our clients. I entirely enjoy working to fix heating & a/c units, & our very favorite thing to do is to install radiant heated flooring systems for people. Most of the time, I even enjoy the hours that I normally have to work. I always stick with bankers’ hours as much as I can. People will stay home from their jobs to let in the Heating & A/C specialist so they can have their gas furnace plan or their central air conditioners fixed. And so usually our working hours as an Heating & A/C specialist aren’t bad at all. However, occasionally I find myself penciled in the schedule to work holiday hours, & that’s honestly annoying. The people will call the Heating & A/C emergency line after hours, on weekends, or on holidays are the kind of clients who are usually annoying to me. Honestly, I don’t guess love there are more than a couple of times that honestly constitute an emergency when it comes to a/cs. Sure, when the weather starts cooling off & the temperatures outside get into the single digits or even below zero, that would constitute a heating emergency. But what entirely constitutes an a/c emergency when it comes down to it? I think that the temperatures would have to be pretty darn warm for there to be an a/c emergency. And most of the time the temperatures where all of us live never get that hot. At least I get paid extra money whenever I have to answer any calls from the Heating & A/C emergency line. However, I still don’t love working on a holiday.
