I heard the weirdest noise the other day, which sent me into a tizzy.
I was sitting in the den just playing on my laptop when I heard a thumping sound.
It wasn’t super loud. I wasn’t sure where it was coming from. I then spent minutes walking around the up-to-date home trying to find the mysterious thump. When I couldn’t find it, I gave up and decided to make myself some mac and cheese. I was hoping the thumping would go away. Sadly, it did the opposite. After I was done eating, I heard the thumping noise, however it was louder and more clear than before. I set out around the new home in search of the mysterious thump again. The sound was coming from somewhere in the bedroom, although I couldn’t find where at for sure. Then just when I thought I was getting close, the thumping stopped. Frustrated but relieved, I continued with my night as normal. 30 minutes later, the thumping was back to haunt me! This time, I got on our hands and knees and was determined to move every piece of furniture. When I hovered about the ductwork I heard the thumping noise truly clearly. This is when I realized that something was in our ductwork moving around to make the noise. I then found it was a couple of dog toys that got stuck in there. Our pet had lifted the air vent, buried his toys in there and closed it too! How odd is that?
